Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov says he’s selling 49 percent of Nets

I remember the fear we all had that Prokhorov was gonna turn the NBA into UEFA. Just spend like crazy and not give anyone a change.

The truth is Prokhorov is losing money hand-over-fist on the Barclays Center, which continues to plummet in revenue and now the Islanders might also be leaving. The operating costs are too high with all the concerts that are heavily discounted to lure artists away from the million other arenas in the Tri-state area. The Nets are doomed for the next decade and the Barclays Center's finances are underwater. This is possibly the start of an exit strategy from the Nets for Prokhorov.

One of the few owners in sports in the same class (worst of the worst) as Ranadive of the Kings. The difference is Ranadive meddles and is personally responsible for how bad his team is while Prokhorov hired and delegated to idiots.
