I don't know about that. when you see the leader of the team crying on the bench I would assume you start to wonder about the stability of the system. Don't you think they would lose confidence in IT because he is dealing with such a tragic event? I do.

Boston are just another team built for the regular season. You need a superstar to make noise in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Isiah Thomas is not a superstar, an all star yes but not a superstar

    Bulls have Butler.

Well, Thomas still played a great season tbh, they have Horford, Stevens and some very good defenders on the backcourt, they lack size and experience (and yeah, a true star), but in the regular season you can overcome some weaknesses playing hard and as a team. We basically did the same thing two years ago.

Al Horford is such a softball that I forgot he even plays for the Celtics.

One of those Max players that eats up your cap space but actually holds your team back if you are trying to win a ring.

Why couldn't they rally under these circumstances?

Bad match up. Butler cancels Thomas. Boston should be applauded for their regular season but they are simply not a real 1 seed.

Unfortunately their over achieving could lead to one of the biggest disappointments in league histor

How much of this is the Bulls being, actually, a good team? Butler is great, Wade looks like Heat Wade (LeBron era, not quite '06 era) and Rondo looks like Celtics Rondo. Add to that mix Lopez, a solid defender, and you've got a solid core, surrounded by the "others."

I mean, it's embarrassing for Boston to be losing as a 1 seed, but I feel like everyone is completely discounting the Bulls.

Horford is softer than Ryno, who would've thought?

I like Brad Stevens but if he is bounced in round 1, he kinda has to be trending from great to the overrated head coach column.

In hindsight, Rhyno's aren't soft in general. [IMG]

IT is king of the 4th and an offensive superstar, plus the rest of the east has left a lot to be desired.

kind of poetic justice that the guy they didn't pull the trigger on (Jimmy Butler) is torching them. Supposedly could've had him for the likes of Crowder, AB, and a pick? You make that trade every time. Playoff success is hinged on star talent and the move wouldn't have even crippled them down the line
