I don't have the necessary data to confirm or deny this. Lynn McHale did leave a bad taste in all our mouths by the way she left, but was she really a negative or a net neutral to the community in terms of outreach? (This isn't rhetorical, I seriously don't know)

Hey Clutch, I was watching that game and saw Laurel come on and promote those two great organizations built around literacy and our youth. I wondered if you knew her and might get into her ear about the 'Women's Storybook Project of Texas'. Storybook is an organization that has volunteers that go into prison, record mothers reading books outloud to their children and then they deliver CDs to the children of mothers that have been incarcerated. I believe the idea is to get mothers and children connected and encouraging mothers to dedicate themselves to improving the lives of their children who obviously suffer. It's similar in that they accept donations for books, but it's a cause the that touch the lives of these children and have long lasting effects. If you're close enough to her to say something, please do. She could make a huge difference to them and all the kids of incarcerated children. Here's their website:

If she is interested, my mom and dad are both have high positions on the staff (no they're not paid, they volunteer their talents). They've already been in contact with some other high profile coach's wives like Edith Royal and Herman's wife too. Anyway, it's worth a shot. Those kids are worth it.
