This is about the only sweep I am predicting.

I give the Blazers one game. But ultimately, I am looking forward to watching Portland and possibly having NurkicFever.

other than the height difference from the 1&2 spot the blazers match up well with the warriors..... don't think they are going to win but this series should be fun....warriors in 6

Warriors in 5. Nurkic and Draymond will be yelling and pointing at each other.

An easy matchup for GSW, possibly a sweep. It's unfair that they won't get tested, but them's the perks for having the best record.

Playing every third day for the first three games. How very convenient!

If Nurkic is available, I think the Blazers could steal a game. Maybe 2. But this would be the upset of the century if the Warriors lost.

Yeah, if the Blazers catch fire they can win one game imo but that's it i think, seems like this is the only free matchup of the first round.

Ranking every NBA playoff series by upset potential

    8. Golden State Warriors (1) vs. Portland Trail Blazers (8)
While the East's 1-8 series might be close, the Blazers would need a historic upset to beat the Warriors, who posted the fourth-best differential in NBA history (plus-11.6 ppg). Golden State also swept four head-to-head matchups against Portland, though all four games came before the Blazers added Jusuf Nurkic in a February trade.

Portland was far better with Nurkic, who missed the team's final seven games of the regular season with a non-displaced fracture of his right fibula and is expected to be reevaluated prior to the start of the playoffs. In Nurkic's 19 starts, the Blazers went 14-5 with a plus-5.3 differential.

    Upset probability:

If Nurkic plays...maybe Portland gets one game, but the Warriors are gonna make very quick work of Portland.

I wish Denver made it instead. Would have been interesting to see what Jokic can do against the Warriors.

I say Warriors in 5. But wouldn't it be freakin great if there was a huge Blaze & the Warriors ended up on a funeral pyre;)
Was GS the last 8 seed to beat a 1 seed?

Fake conspiracy theory with no research bc it might disprove your theory. The wizards/hawks series is the same exact way. If anything this helps the blazers. They need a healthy Nurkic for any chance.

    How so?

I would think this helps the Blazers more than the Warriors.

Yes, the NBA gave the Blazers 2 days off between games to get Nurkic healthy. :D

#1 seed, top team in the league, expected to play deep into June, trying to bring Durant back - every day off counts!

My conspiracy was already debunked as someone else pointed out Wizards/Hawks got a similar schedule in the east (which I hadn't realized when I made the post).
