If the Texans could only afford to keep one which would you choose DeAndre Hopkins or Jadeveon Clowney?

I love both and we can keep them both, but Hopkins would be easier to replace, frankly they're both at positions that are currently deeper than they've ever been(league wide) and replacements would be easier to find. Again I don't think the FO lets either go

There's no world in which they could afford to keep only one. I'd keep both.

Yup. One of the benefits of not having a franchise qb on a second contract is that it opens up plenty of cap space.

Clowney the only thing that might sway the thought towards Hopkins is Clowney's injury history.

Still early. Not enough to be considered injury prone. Plus having Watt back will take some pressure off of him.

Funny that a year ago, the answer was undoubtedly Hopkins. What a difference a healthy year makes.

Hopkins... dude just needs a good qb.
Y'all tend to forget that he's had several trash qbs and still put up great numbers

I'd say Hop if I HAD to choose between both. Only determining factor would be health. Clowney has proven to be an injury risk each season, (after only starting 11 out of a possible 45 games in his first two seasons) this past season he battled through an elbow/wrist injury that sidelined him a game against Green Bay as well.

I have to say he is finally getting his body of work put together but his potential is still there to grow even more. Once he gets to double digit sack records he will be legit, but for now he will still be second fiddle to Watt (once he returns).

Texans can afford to keep them both...now that they don't have to pay Brock and are not paying for Romo.
