In my opinion, It is because he wants to go do his little "superstar" thing, bouncing off the goal post or whatever. Is it a big deal? No. But it is a pretty clear subconscious message. He believes he is on a different planet than the rest of the team, he always has. It's a selfish gesture. I don't think he is actively thinking this, but subconscious actions matter. Yes I know, it fits the Harden hater narrative, but I mean, it's a pretty clear rejection of team solidarity.
The third eye is in the huddle. Why are you so worried about his body? Don't believe in the third eye? Then how did he make this pass?
Idk... when he first arrived, he, lin and parsons had a whole pregame ritual together... At the end of the day... Those that think Harden's s*** don't stink will dismiss this as nonsense and make excuses... The haters will make it out to be the end of the world... Realistically, it's probably not a huge deal... but it does speak to his prowess as 'a leader'... lead by example...- At this point, nobody on the team is going to complain... it's been made abundantly clear that it's all about James and everybody else is expendable... ask Beas, or Dwight or KJ...

He still had hand shakes but I don't think he was ever joined in the huddle on court. In the tunnel, Harden would be leading the "swag champions" chants though. I remember thinking why Harden wasn't in the huddle in the past. We need evidence though.

For those who are upset by this, or even mildly miffed, understand there are 3 huddles. One before they leave the lockerroom. Harden leads that One after the lineups are announced ... as in the OP One right before tip-off with the coaches ... this is when he does rituals with each player (like Lin/Parsons in the past) Here's an example of the pregame handshakes ... and watch all the way to the end when he flashes his penis like Lebron did.
