At the beginning of the second and fourth quarter, can we bench Bev so that Lou and Gordon can handle the ball and run the show? I just feel taking the ball out of Lou/Gordon's hands for Bev is killing us right now. Our second and third best scorers are not comfortable because they never get to run the show. Bev does not need to play 30 minutes a game.
Are they just not throwing Lou Williams the ball? He needs to ball out and stop being timid out there.
Bev is a better ball handler and creator than Gordon . Lou I haven't seen enough of , but I would rank him over bev .
You right. However the defense lacks with starters too. Lou needs the ball. I think he'll find his role soon but Dantoni needs work his lineups out. Lou and Gordon needs to be the backcourt. We should be trying to build their chemistry for the playoffs, hell maybe bring James in as a 2. I'm sure James can still play 2. Mix the lineups a little. Ariza and Bev play too many minutes. We need to be resting Bev a bit for that Warriors matchup down the line. No Bev, No Bueno! He gives us a chance against them in the playoffs. Why do all the players we trade for, play so timid upon arrival?
You mean the lineup that is +20.8 per 100 possessions, making it our best 5-man lineup that's logged over 30 minutes this year? That's the one we need to get rid of?
Thank you for some sanity. If there's an issue, it's Dekker's shooting. MDA now has him down to 6 minutes per game over the last 5 games (excluding the blowout against the Lakers). The rotation looks fully locked in now... Harden / Lou Beverley / Gordon Ariza / Gordon Anderson / Ariza Capela / Nene I don't have a fundamental problem with that setup, other than that it feels paper thin.
He's always had a 7-8 man rotation in the playoffs and sprinkles in players if the rotation players get winded.
Bev, Lou, Gordon.....We're actually trying time determine who is the best handler/creator of that bunch.......not good.
I would love Trez to come in too for the spark and part of the rotation and make it a 3 man Capela/Nene/Trez, to continue allowing Nene to be healthy moving forward, but obviously allowing to play Nene if he's doing well and etc. I personally think Trez could be great for us in the playoffs if given the opportunity and I think he has proven himself he is a kenneth faried type player. He ALWAYS wants to dunk and hammer it down. Not even softy Capela throws it down all the time which pisses me off. If Capela decided to be half as strong as Trez, we'd be on a whole 'notha level. Hopefully we don't need Trez because we suck, but just ya know what I mean.. just think he would be great for us at times.
Well, I guess we may actually need to see more of this lineup. Interesting. This is a good time for the coach to experiment with different lineups. The Rockets are basically locked into the 3rd seed. I wouldn't mind seeing Wiltjer and Onuaku worked into the lineup for a few games, just to get their feet wet and to see what they can do.
So you don't like perimeter defense? Who is going to hang with the Kawhi's, Durant's Say what you want of Ariza, he is still our best perimeter defender....
