If the political heat starts to burn Mr. Trump's butt (assuming he would notice, not a sure thing at all, IMO), don't be surprised to see something like that happen. After all, Trump's billionaire supporters are so excited to be "owning" our government via Trump and the GOP Congress that they would view several million dollars a year in donated "travel/vacation" funds as small interest to pay on a huge giveaway for them coming down the pike. In my opinion.

He is RIPPING off the American public, and his supporters are ok with it, after b****ing mercilessly about Obama - well now they get to live in the hypocrisy and watch the death knells of the republican party as the rest of the country wakes up and goes...WTF?

LOL, Trump spokestool Sean Spicer addressed Trump's golf trips (btw, one out every 6 days Trump has been on the golf course):

Sean Spicer wants you to know that Trump’s golfing is strategic and/or not happening
So just to run through those excuses:

    1. Trump uses golf to foster deeper relationships.
    2. Also, just because he’s at a golf course doesn’t mean he’s golfing.
    3. Also? It’s none of your business.

Spicer is being forced into the Baghdad Bob persona. Well he could also tell Trump that he isn't going to lie for him anymore, and then resign or get fired.

The agency recently requested an additional $60 million in spending for fiscal year 2018, according to a Washington Post report on Tuesday. Nearly $27 million of that was to be earmarked for security at the president’s private residence at Trump Tower in New York, where first lady Melania Trump lives with their 11-year-old son. The Secret Service also said it needed another $33 million to cover travel costs incurred by “the president, vice president and other visiting heads of state.”

The Office of Management and Budget rejected the request, a source told the Post, which could potentially force the Secret Service to scale back on other operations, like investigations into cyber hacking, counterfeit currency, financial crimes or missing and exploited minors.

Don't forget, if Trump donates his salary, it's a TAX DEDUCTION! Taxpayers lose twice.

Amazing that Fox News would so blatantly report such an untruth... when there were pictures of him at his golf club, and the white house reported he held meetings at his golf course.

So what would Trump be considered back in the Reagan days? Not sure America could have handled Trump without the sh#$ show that has come over the recent years starting with Sarah Palin who really is responsible for all of this crap. Her, George W. fallout, and the Obama backlash. I think Putin and the European Nationalist movement are probably getting a little too much credit for Trump. The US had started down this road years ago, and Nationlism is just the next reality TV show we are all tuned into.

Totally different environment back then. Democrats had a permanent majority in the House back then. Everything started and ended with Tip O'Neill. So if Trump tries his bombastic nonsense in the 80s, eventually the government would just start ignoring him entirely and start to openly subvert him. The Senate was Republican back then but the majority leader was Bob Dole who also wouldn't put up with Trump. The contrast between House and Senate leadership today and the leadership in the 80s is night and day. Trump wouldn't survive back then.

Also being pro-Russia in the 80s might result in treason charges. There would be watergate level investigations back then. He'd be lucky to get away with just impeachment.

Speaking of that... what truly terrifies me is the relationship & power struggle (or lack thereof) between the White House and the House of Reps. Its completely obvious and has been for awhile that Bannon and Trump have wanted and continue to try and get Paul Ryan out as House Speaker.

My understanding is that the House Speaker is the only person that can start an impeachment, and in this case would be the only person I know of that could create a special prosecutor on the Russia investigation. Paul Ryan thus far has played on team Trump to protect his own neck. But I do think that his loyalties at the end of the day are to the Republican party and their donors ala the Koch Brothers, and we know the Koch brothers are no fans of Trump. If things are bad enough I do think that he will be forced to move on Trump if he broke the law.

However if Trump is able to get Ryan out and infrequence a new House Speaker who is a true Trump loyalist.... we are then in for potentially the Wild Wild West of political law enforcement of the Presidency.
