Why are there no videos of Russell Westbrook's stat padding?

Where did you get this data? Or were you seriously just flat-out lying?

    Sarcasm? :D

So funny how obvious it is that Kanter and Adams are pushing their guys away from the basket instead of boxing out and getting the rebound.

It's not just uncontested defensive rebounds. it was how the teammates move out of his way to let him grab the rebound or box the men out of the way to let him get the rebound.

So what? Harden's stats are also inflated by this system D'Antoni is running.

Harden deserves to get his stats inflated because he causes the Rockets to win. Its like when you have MJ on the squad you don't mind him always taking the shot because he is MJ. And the result is obvious Rockets are 3rd best in the league despite having only 1 max guy on the team, easily beating other teams with multiple max guys like Memphis, Cleveland, Clippers etc.

On the other hand OKC according to consensus was rated better prior to the season than the Rockets, in all power rankings and season predictions everyone had OKC higher or at the level of Houston. Now they are barely in the playoffs and run a real chance of missing it entirely. So while Harden deserves to get his stats padded, Westbrick is actually hurting his team because of his stat padding. It also hurts team morale because the rest of the guys feel like they are minion 1 and minion 2 instead of Westbrick's teammates. When the game plan is to tell the bigs to shove their opponents away from the court so Westbrick can get rebounds then how do you think they feel? They're just playing games to help Westbrick pad his stats. If they're going on a fast break with no opponent in sight I wouldn't be surprised if the play is to intentionally miss the shot first so Westbrick can get the rebound and then get an assist on the layup.

The difference is that you have to have someone who is inherently selfless, and willing to give his teammates shine in order to run MDA's system effectively. And let's not even talk about basketball IQ......

Well, you just defined an uncontested rebound. It's not like the opposing team is moving out the way to let him get rebounds.
I never knew the system makes the passes and shots for you. If that's the case then anyone running the system would have inflated stats. If Ennis was named the starting "points" guard by D'Antoni then he would be putting up MVP numbers, right? Point being, at the end of the day, the system can only do so much... and that's if it's actually working. We've only had glimpses of its potential but it has been largely inconsistent as of late.

Let's go ahead and forget that Harden was already putting up top 3 scoring and assist numbers (#1 among SG's) even with McHale's iso, dribble, and shoot offense. He actually should have had the scoring title during the 2014-2015 season. He was leading with more than half the season through and finished with the most overall points, but averaged 27.4 since he played in 81 games. Westbrook played in 67 games due to injury, but finished with an average of 28.1 because of his insane production at the end of the season.

Scoring was never the issue with Harden. Ask (almost) anyone and they will agree that he is the best offensive player today due to his versatility and ability to draw fouls. His assist numbers were already relatively high, but he was able to push it to the next level due to running a system that gets players open (instead of just standing around) and PnR and acquiring players that actually MAKE the open shot (thank you Ryno and Gordon). I'm NOT saying it's because of the system... it's just that there is a vast difference from the lack of offense we were used to during the McHale era and is a testament to Harden's offensive prowess. He could realistically average close to 13-15 if we made just a few more shots a game--and I'm looking at the easy flubs at the rim by Capela or wide open shot opportunities that are missed. And let's not forget the stupid turnovers he has that can be worked on and converted to assists.

EDIT: As others have mentioned, his scoring is naturally lower because of his selflessness as the floor commander, but he is able to turn it on if the rest of the team hasn't been consistent on a given night like the Denver game a few days ago.

Not only that. Any high school player could tell you the small guy's responsibility in a free throw situation is to box out the FT shooter, not rush to the basket to grab the ball. That's why every time if the FT shooter gets his own rebound, it's that guy's fault.

LOL. There's this thing called 'pace'. If your team is playing at a high pace (Rockets), you're naturally going to have more opportunities to score, assist and rebound.

Brooklyn and Phoenix don't have any talent. GSW has so much talent that their numbers get spread out.

Rockets led in pace in 2012-2013, and were #2 in 2014-2015. For reference, they are #4 this season--behind Brooklyn, Golden State, and Phoenix.
