DMO chose to go to the Pels for less money, is about to miss out on a fun HTown playoff run and still has the same azzclown for an agent. Alot of his troubles are self inflicted.

 

He was healthy when playing starting C for us, though. Without his old mobility he's not really a mismatch at center anymore. He can only use his size and length against forwards that are much smaller than him, but he doesn't have the quickness to keep up with them defensively. I don't think you realize how restricted he is in his movements now. I watched the New Orleans game against the Cavs and at full sprint he was barely faster than a backpedaling Channing Frye.

 

While I think DMo screwed up royally by listening to his mongoloid agent, I'm shocked that he can't get ahead of Dante Cunningham WRT minutes. He seemed to produce decently when he did get PT, but I guess he really isn't as good as his potential showed pre-injury.

 

Unfortunately, that's the bottom line.

 

I'm completely shocked, too. It's apparently because the hustle player is being chosen over DMo.... plus, he has developed a 3 this year.

Dante has always been noted for his hustling and playing any role the coach gives him ... not a whiner. Also, from what I can gather reading around, Dante is a fan-favorite...so, to go with that 38% shooting from 3, DMo's non-hustling ass sits.

I don't understand why they cut TJones instead of DMo. Obviously, TJones can play at the PF position with Cousins or Davis much better than DMo or even Cunningham.

Cutting young players who you just signed to 1-yr deals entering their first UFA summer like TJones and DMo can give you a bad rep with players and agents. So, they asked and TJ and his agent agreed to be traded or waived....making it mutual.

DMo and BJ are using a different contract yr strategy. Request DNPs, because it's better to not play and keep your injury recovery a mystery, than to play and remove all doubt. Plus, they have the built-in excuse that he's behind AD and Cousins.
