I'm getting tired of seeing our players leave for other teams, and especially AFC South teams. When are we going to start signing some available free agents? Tick tock, tick tock, make use of that money we freed with Brock.

I think we are waiting to see what happens with Romo.

Yes, how long will Jerry keep everyone waiting? If Jerry really respects Romo, then it seems unlikely that he will just sit and do nothing into the summer. That wouldn't be a very nice thing to do to Romo. However, If Romo gets released, it might not happen until after the NFL draft. Jerry may want to see if a team wants to toss in a draft pick for Romo.

Yeah they should go out and sign a bunch of guys they could probably find equivalency to in the draft and then if Romo is cut they'd have no money to sign him. Why is Rick not paying 13 mil a year for a our sixth corner instead of extending Nook, we have to keep pace with Jacksonville

No but most teams way overspend on the first two days. Pats overspent for Gilmore, doesn't make them losers but they did. Pats are the exception to every rule. Won the superbowl and in the first three days of free agency found a way to make their team even better. The Cooks trade, Jesus its going to be a long winter

No need to rush to sign someone just to sign someone. Those that have signed are out of our price range.

Very true, but we have lost 5 players now and signed nobody. TJ Lang maybe? Connor Barwin?

I guess they are planning on using it all on a bidding war for Romo if and when the time comes. I hope that whatever they are doing works out for us next year. I can't take another year like last, with such a lame offense.

Glad our offseason comes down to whatever Jerrah and Tony decide

We should have held off on the second round pick trade until we had Romo ready to sign

Texans are a capped strapped team that has to spend its money wisely. Hopkins is likely to get a extension this year and clowney is up for one next year. Plus the holding pattern for Romo.

I'd like to have seen them sign a RT but most got big money deals.

We are not cash strapped. I think pancakes creates this narrative every year

    This.

The Texans don't have boat loads of money, but they have plenty to spend. Especially for short term deals. The Texans have done nothing. The winter isn't over but most of the high value players are signed.

I mean at this point they have boatloads almost lol. 30 million with close to ten more they could create with a snap.

That doesn't mean they should go spend stupid money, but they are not handicapped by the salary cap right now.

All this complaining about how the Texans haven't made moves in FA besides resigning 3 of their own is getting tiresome.

The only **** up the Texans made was allowing Bouye to walk after they spent so many years developing the guy. What's the point of developing a CB in to one of the top guys at his position to just allow him to walk. It's wasted effort They could have easily offered him what Jax did and still have plenty of money left to do what they want.

Other than Bouye, I have no qualms with the other guys leaving. Demps is 32 and while he had a ton of INT's, he was rather sub-par last year overall. Simon was a "starter" because they didn't have a DE to replace Crick so they moved Clowney inside. He's a solid rotational guy that you can find a replacement for without much difficulty. Aboushi and Jones aren't starting caliper players and they can be easily replaced with guys already currently on the team or from lower level FAs.

As far as free agents on the market, there aren't any players that would currently improve the Texans roster at their needs. The top guys that were available were only middle tier starters getting paid nearly top level money. Most of the guys remaining at this point are either washed up vets or young dudes with expired contracts that weren't resigned by their former teams. Typically that's because they're bad. Pretty much just garbage out there now.

Wait for the draft and then the next wave of FA could prove more important to the Texans.

The issue is that we gave up a second round pick to get more cap space, and then the cap space wasn't even used.

So maybe we should have just kept Osweiler and the second rounder.

What? The kicker, punter, and mediocre backup tight end didn't do it for you?
