He was running on the Pels, but the guards never gave up the ball, so he sort of stopped, that team is broken.

I think he looks fine - when he plays, I see it as more a matter of playing time.

Sometimes big men will run because they will get the ball, that happens in Houston, not so much in New Orleans.

No chance whatsoever he plays here . Those bridges were burned to the ground and he has nobody but himself to blame.

Still no official statement from him and his agent on how things went south. No long good bye words to the city that took him from the draft onward.

I’m not talking about DMo’s willingness to run, I’m talking about his ability to do so.

Look at his three transition plays in the first 1:20. He was FAST! He blew by multiple defenders for dunks, that’s ridiculous for a seven footer. That’s how he ran in the summer league. Look at the series of post moves that follow. The pump fakes and spins are quick and he can cover a lot of ground with his footwork. He did not move like this last year either, so it’s not about NO’s guards. Watch last year’s playoff series against Golden State and see how measured he is in his movements. Even when he scored in transition he couldn't run hard.

It’s just like Chandler Parsons’ decline. You can’t blame his lack of athleticism on Memphis’ slower pace. He moves like 40 year old Vince Carter out there. Parsons just doesn’t have what he had during his Chandler Bang days. He was known for putback dunks. Now, I can’t even remember the last time he actually dunked.

It's obvious DMo is not physically the same, watching him play so gingerly....only other explanation is he has developed Asikitis and has soured.

Giving up hustling in a contract year because you have a problem with your point guard -- if that's true, he's dumber than I thought and he needs to sit down and have a serious talk with his agent....oh, wait,,,he's even dumber.

This is making me revist the idea of whether Keith Jones is a hack.

At the very least, he seems good at getting short term performance enhancement out of undervalued players...

Yeah, DMo always ran and hustled during his healthy years. I thought of him as a taller Scola--unathletic but a fast and willing runner. That's how he won a lot of fans' heart.

Another DNP tonight. The question is who is buried deeper: Dmo on the bench, or a board member or two up his butt? Tough call...

They probably don't pass the ball because DMo is shooting at less than 50% from the field and like 26% from the 3.

Before you blame other players you should look at DMo's performance first. For DMo to get the ball and get PT he should show something, now he is getting DNP CD because the coach realizes somebody who is getting 15 mins of play but only 4 pts and 3.4 rebs on 43% fg should not be getting PT.

Two minutes and one rebound...all in garbage time at the end of a blowout. Damn you Morey for letting a valuable asset like Dmo walk for nothing!

You guys are nailing it. He can't get out and run like he could at one point. He is still serviceable, but I think he needs to be a stretch 5 now.

Stretch 5 who shoots 27% from the 3? Ok.

I think DMo needs to first of all fire his agent and then get a real doctor to look at him and say he is ineligible to play anymore. Then he needs to get himself into recovery and rehab 24/7 because any real fan should look at him move now and will know he is not healthy.

Then after he spends the summer and entire offseason into rehab, he should look for a new agent who will use his connections to get him into tryouts with teams, and then maybe he can get a training camp invite and get a low ball contract for 1 year and then make bank the following years. I'm sorry it has to be this way but if he hadn't listened to his BS agent this whole mess wouldn't have happened.

If he can get back to 100% like before DMO would not be short of teams trying to hook him up, hell he would be a perfect fit on the Rockets. However with him continuing to be Mr. Ignoramus and playing while not addressing his condition I'm afraid he will just end up messing his back in the long run for nothing, it's not like teams will be lining up to sign him given his pathetic performance. I mean if NO could take it all back I'm sure they would rather not sign DMO in the first place and just take a look at a different player.

I think he can shoot way better than that with a consistent role. Probably around 36-37 percent.

The year he played most and had a reasonably consistent role he played 71 games and shot 37 percent. 49/133.

Not much of a stretch that he can get back to that with 25 minutes a night. It is a stretch however that he will ever get his mobility back.

Well a strictly stretch 5 who can't run, can't defend and can't convert in the paint won't get minutes though, teams will just dunk all over his ass and if the pay off is just 35% he is not worth puttin on the court. Ryno gives you 41% 3 pt shooting and people still get on his ass sometimes. Plus it's not like NO is lacking in centers they have Davis, Asik, Boogie, Perkins (wtf?). OMG just realized how many centers are on NO what were they thinking when they traded for Boogie LOL.

Played pretty well as a starting C for us, and going forward that's what he needs to focus on. He is done as a forward.

That is the problem - that roster is a mess, and we really could use any of those centers on our team...

Scrub can't crack the rotation on a basement dweller but we sure could use him.....said no one ever. Well, technically, said one person ever.
