Since this board is chalk full of leftists, it would be interesting to post a poll on whether people think the protests are warranted and see what percentage of posters here say "yes". If it's the norm, as you say, it must be fairly high.

Meanwhile the worst acts by the right have been actual shootings and deaths (even killing the wrong people). Are you really trying to put these on the same level? And why are they having them on liberal campuses? This is a common strategy of protesters, right or left. Try to manufacture conflict that grabs news headlines where they look like the victims.

The purpose is to draw in a counter-protest so that they can claim leftist protesters are intolerant of their free speech, thereby delegitimizing protests against Trump.

The counter-protesters, particularly those who resort to violence, are falling for the trap. They're idiots.
