I'm gonna be honest I prefer Sanders over Bogut. Bogut has been a total disappointment on the mavs and in my mind him checking out is just as bad as Sanders being away from the NBA. Sanders is still young he can easily play himself back in shape, 1 month of training and he's back in game shape.

Just offer Sanders the entire 3.5M and sign GP2. Lock it up Morey

I think its a prpblem Houston continies to wait on Bogut, somebody might sign Sanders and once released Bogut goes to another team

It's also misinformed/disingenuous for people to say a guy that left the game to deal with depression as low character. It takes a high level of self awareness and determination to overcome depression.

Exactly. That take's more mental strength to walk away from all of that money for your own mental health. and to overcome it. Also getting involved in business ventures. I commend Larry Sanders for that.

I honestly think Larry Sanders would fit better with this team. Also chemistry wise I don't like the idea of bogut a guy who basically quit on the mavs. And if we wait for him he might pick another team over us AGAIN. (First time poster always was around just never posted

[Akron Beacon Journal - Jason Lloyd - 2/24/2017]
    8. The Cavs had Larry Sanders in this week to talk to him, but his checkered past apparently is even more checkered than known. A Cavs official confirmed to me tonight they were aware Sanders was arrested last year on a felony charge in Los Angeles, but did not provide any details about the arrest. Late-night attempts to obtain a police report were futile, but according to Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department jail records, Sanders was arrested on June 12 and booked into the Van Nuys jail. His bail was set at $50,000. One Cavs official said he didn’t believe Sanders would be facing discipline by the league should he sign with an NBA team.

    9. Still, Sanders has been out of the league for two years because of personal issues. He was treated for depression and anxiety after he was released by the Milwaukee Bucks. He was one of the game’s best shot blockers at one time, and he’s still only 27, but it remains to be seen if another team takes a chance on him. Now that the trade deadline has passed, if the Cavs really wanted him, they could sign him to their open roster spot and make the various decisions necessary if Williams comes, too. But they haven’t done that yet.

    10. “He’s a good dude,” Lue said after meeting with Sanders on Thursday. “I know he has some negative things said about him, but just meeting him for the first time, just talking to him one-on-one, he’s a great guy. You never know, you never understand until you’re around that person and you’re able to talk to that person. With me, everybody I meet always has a clean slate. You have a clean slate until you do something wrong, so he was a great dude just talking to him.”
    [...]

    18. Who they move forward with will be known over the next couple of days. Griffin said the addition of [Derrick] Williams has lessened the need for another big and it seems clear at this point he has zeroed in on a point guard – specifically [Deron] Williams.

Looks like Cavs passed for Bogut, as is being reported.

Now is the Rockets time to jump!

Get it done! I am sure Morey has something in mind before the team plays the Grizzlies and Spurs.

the guy hasn't played for two years. If he starts tomorrow he won't be ready until 2018, if ever.

Low risk, HUGE reward. Just think of him as injury stash or postseason secret weapon. Rockets really don't need Sanders to win in regular season, they can ease him in back to game shape.

Not sure about Morey's plans, bit MDA is looking to bomb both teams into nonexistence.

I would say offseason experiment, should get his feet wet in the summer league because he has not played in a game like forever.

Reports out of Cavs tryout was that he had come along way since Boston tryout a month prior.

Cavs beat writer said he preferred Sanders.

Yep. Rockets don't have any of their centers playing anywhere close to 30+ minutes per game, especially if returning from injury/old . Has Capela even sniffed 25 minutes since returning from injury?

Are there any 6'10 Dorseys available in Europe?
