Someone's gonna comment saying "Well it was before the season" like that changes the fact that Klay was never in his lifetime better than Harden.

What they should have talked about was why their rankings of Harden (even before the season) so widely disagrees with last year's official, media-voted awards for All-NBA, with Harden not making 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

 

That is so disrespectful... even i feel disrespected by that, i wonder how james feels about that

 

LeBron and KD are 1 and 2, after that Leonard is 3rd, IMO. Those guys basically have no flaws.

4 and beyond is debatable as those players either have glaring flaws or their teams lack success.

The MVP race is a close one, and neither player (Westbrook/Beard) is clearly ahead of the other.

 

nah he should've put klay in there. he's a better two-way player than harden.

People outside of Houston usually don't regard Harden as a legit top 5 player. After LeBron, Durant, and Curry (who are pretty much locks at this point) Harden is right up there with the likes of Kahwi/Westbrook/AD, except Harden probably gets beat by them more often than not.

 

How is AD even in the conversation? Years have passed and they are still not winning much at all...

 

That is because media blowhards like the guys on TNT and ESPN perpetuate that line of thinking, despite it being incorrect.

If somebody doesnt view Harden as a legit top 5 player than they arent worth talking basketball with.

I give shaq,ernie,kenny a pass because these lists are old.

I love kawhi and view him as a top 5-6 player but I think he is getting too much love. I watch every spurs game because my roomate is a big fan here in austin.

Kawhi can put up 30, close the game, and play great defense but he cant run the show or create for teammates.

Harden can do literally everything on offense. He runs the show completely. Kawhi could never help montrezl harrell score 30 points.

 

That's always a tricky thing to evaluate. Which is more valuable? Play-making or defense?

Harden this season is no doubt a top 5 player. But in general? I can see arguments on both sides, and Harden does have a little too many red flags if you will for an elite player. Defense and turnovers are obvious ones, but even offensively to what extent you think Harden's foul drawing tactics is legit and can work in the playoffs is up for debate.
