LaMelo is like 15 or 16. Give the kid a chance to mature before we start bashing him. He's the best prospect out of the 3 of the Ball Bros.
Watch the highlights from the "game", dude never even crossed half court on defense like half the time. He just stood at half court so they could throw him the ball and he could score again. That's not basketball.
He's 15 guys. Relax I can't believe grown men are in here ripping a kid literally a kid over a basketball game. Pretty pathetic.
It's highlights, not a full game video. How do you know he never crossed half court? Besides, they won the game. It's not like they just care about his scoring and disregard winning the game. Chino Hills has been the best high school team in California since they got the Ball brothers. You guys sound like they are playing trash basketball.
That is a really unattractive family. They all look like God just threw a bunch of **** against the wall and saw what would stick.
lol snowbirding to get cheap points. isn't his dad the team's coach? if so, that explains everything.
They aren't playing trash basketball, but their style of play is very different from other teams. They do things differently than what we're used to, so people hate on them for it. In the end, it wins games. This video is a good breakdown.
Yeah, people automatically hate on non-traditional approaches. Morey's analytics got a lot of mockery at the beginning. Now no team can afford not to use analytics at least to a certain extent. People used to think that shooting tons of 3s is a gimmick. Now everybody is copying it. (Not that long ago, people like Barkley was still harping the cliche "jump shooting teams can't win championship.") People used to think big men shooting outside shots are soft. Now the concept of stretch-4 is just commonsense. BTW, thanks for the video. I like how the dude talked about Lonzo Ball's shots at the beginning. Yeah, he's like passing to the basket. Talk about unconventional shooting form. LOL.
People hate on them because they allow a PG coach's son to chuck up 61 shots, cherry pick most of the game, and intentionally foul the other team in the 4th quarter all so LaMelo can jack up more shots.
I've watched many, many videos of the kid. This was one game. You should see his mixtapes and mixtapes of his HS (essentially his two brothers plus him and one other dude from last year). The kid can be special.
May be true, but this game was clearly done to attract headlines and feels incredibly cheap with all the cherry picking.
That's fair. But A. He didn't make this video screaming out 92 points. B. He took advantage of the poor defense and adjustments. I don't blame the kid for getting easy buckets if he felt like he could. It's not like he broke the rules. I get it, it's not traditional or "moral" to do what he did, but at the end of the day, he's not cheating.
What Jackass coach allows a kid to score 92 points on the other squad? Once the game is in hand pull your best guys and ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE! CLASSY. SMFH.
He wasnt even the best player on his team that game. I'll take eli scott and his 29pts, 17rebs, 14assts, and defensive effort over a snowbirding/non hustling player any day. Even if he scored 92
