Although I think Melo's not in the same class as Kobe, MJ or Lebron, I think he's being made as the scapegoat for the Knicks & Phil's inability to build a competent basketball team. The Knicks sucked before Melo & they will suck after him. Jeff Hornacek was NEVER the right coach for that team and the Knicks don't have the right personnel for the triangle offense. Yet Melo's being singled out as THE reason the Knicks are trash. Melo's a great offensive player that can be useful in the right system. But I think his biggest downfall is simply not being as great as Lebron. The main critics of Melo are secretly angry he didn't turn out to be on the level as Lebron, Wade etc..While he deserves criticism, it's just not fair to bash the guy because he didn't live up to somone else's expectations

Melo needs to go to a place that there is a clear Alpha that isn't him. He plays well off the ball when he is willing, shown by his success on the national team. I think he would do well in Cleveland, GS, and Houston.

Why on earth would we want to trade ryan anderson for melo? Melo has been nothing but an over grown baby in NyC. Not only has he regressed but he is still a Diva. A Fat Diva non the less. Put him in Rockets Red and you have the Kool-aid man on our Roster that will probably eat the basketball before he passes it. Ryan is no star but at least he has been a professional team mate. He stretches the floor and knows his role. Carmelo just needs to go to Atlanta where he can snoodle with his buddy Dwight or a team like the Cavs where Lebron can put him on a leash. There are better/ younger players that we can acquire with our assets. Don't waste our assets on acquiring an old fat queen that makes Glen Big Baby Davis look like a skinny Ballerina.

Melo cares more about his numbers than winning. Proof of that was in Denver... he's a cancer just like Dwight. I would turn down a Luther Head for Carmelo trade in fantasy even today because I would say he is the cause of what's wrong with the post-Michael NBA.

    Phil brought in Porzingis.

They all need to go. Phil, Carmelo, everyone. Rebuild around Porzingis.

Unfortunately, Jim Dolan remains so it may not matter who you get rid of.

I honest hope that Porzingis can somehow get out of NY rather than being wasted in the Knicks organization.
