You clearly weren't following the conversation, we were talking about Cardale Jones. I know most people have forgotten about him entirely already so I understand the confusion.

I wouldn't be mad if we got Mahommes. I wouldn't trade up or anything though

other than David Carr the highest pick Texans have use on a QB is 88 (Dave Ragone, Rd 3)

    that's insane

Yup. Rick smith has only picked a qb I believe 3 times in his tenure as GM

Mel Kiper just said on ESPN he thinks Mahomes could be the Carson Wentz of this class. QB that goes in red hot and is taken very high. Doesn't see him making it to the 2nd round.

This time of year last year I was very high on Wentz, and he was thought of as a mid to late first.

I feel the same way about Mahomes. He's going to end up as the second or third QB taken, and it will be top ten.

    This is what I see,

Big arm, can run but prefers to throw, has touch and accuracy that you cant teach,

Reading defenses and poor footwork are definite weaknesses. With good coaching I could see that improving. If this happens Mahomes will be an all pro, the talent is there.

I also like Kizer but a losing record at Notre Dame gives me pause.

That and his inaccuracy while losing games to weak competition. If schools like North Carolina State are good enough to make you look like garbage.....well, how can anyone expect that QB to look good in the NFL?
