Yeah no joke. That is a huge difference. The Rockets should have some extra rest here and there compared to other teams.
Rockets still have a lot of games that are bunched up so I'm guessing we will be having a lot of rests after the all star break
They haven't had back to back games in over a month while having 5 (five!) separate instances of 2 days off between games and another separate instance of having 3 days off between games. It's actually pretty sick to look at.
Meanwhile, including this back to back we've had 7 (seven!) instances of back to backs and only 4 occurrences of 2 days off between games, never more than that.
I like how mad Courtney Lee gets looking on from the bench. He's probably thinking to himself "WTF did I choose to play with this bum they call Melo?"
utah's defensive performance against cleveland last night suddenly looks a lot less impressive. the worst defensive team in the league is holding cleveland to even less. cleveland is shooting under 30% and has like 12 turnovers in the middle of the 3rd quarter. and apparently portland got in late last night just like cleveland.
Cleveland isn't really try harding. I think for Utah and Portland the chance to play the defending champs is like their own version of the finals, so these teams are coming out with extra energy and motivation right now. It's tough to repeat as champs, you always get the best performance out of each opponent every night.
maybe the hawks were on to something. the cavs traded for korver and are the worst offense in the league now.
GS won 73 games after winning a champs. It is not a question of motivation, but they are just not great, unbeatable.
