As @Clutch once wrote, he will have "The Houston Rockets Had An Interest" carved on his tombstone, much like Charles "Bo" Outlaw.
Like I said all along, the way this will work is every vet that gets released will decide between GS, SA and Cleveland and once those teams are either set or not interest or not eligible to do a deal for that player, THEN the Rockets join the hunt with all the rest.
So true. Seems like San Antonio constantly has the caproom to add 37 veteran castoffs every year. Hell, even TMac got a turn. I can't wait until Popovich retires and that franchise is finally dead and buried.
Maybe, maybe not. "Role" could be a key factor. If a player sees a bigger role on a contending team versus another contender, they might decide on the bigger role. Just never know. But, it is nice that the Rockets are playing really well now and look like they are having fun. A much more desirable location than it appeared 6 months ago. ;-)
Good grief, Watkins. Someone told you something that might have happened weeks ago, and you're reporting it as still Hot. You ever think it actually means we *aren't* going to trade for him, because the rumored offer fell flat. What? Is Morey going to Up his offer now ... lulz
@WojVerticalNBA: Sources: After talking with Mike Budenholzer about role with Atlanta, Mike Dunleavy has made peace with joining Hawks. He'll report Tuesday.
These vets RARELY choose a bigger role though. They normally just pick one of those teams even if it means they'll only get 2 minutes lol.
I was actually thinking the Rockets should target him. Problem is the Cavs did not think he was that good and preferred Korver instead. How good is he?
