The team with the real QB (Watson) will win.

Hope Bama crushes Clemson and wins again next year so the CFP gets expanded.

Saban fired errr "agreed to part ways" with Lane Kiffin. Steve Sarkisian will take over as OC.

I've been saying that they wanted to get rid of him since his name came up in the UH job. They couldn't even wait 1 more game.

Yes, they couldn't even wait one more game. And it's not just any little ole game. It's the championship game. I mean this really looks bad for Kiffin.

There's no need to expand the CFP. 4 is good enough.

How does Bama crushing Clemson imply the playoff needs to be expanded? If anything that implies that adding lesser teams to the field has no real effect.

Somehow college football has managed to make the playoffs not that exciting. They're going to have to do something. Ratings and word of mouth is just way not there.

Having more 3rd or 4th seed wins is how you get the playoffs expanded.

I'm not even saying expansion - though I like everyone would be for that.

I'm just pointing out that the bowl "season" has seemed to lose a bit of its luster the last few years. Their scheduling of games for example makes no sense.

The USC/Penn St. game was the only one that really kept me interested in any way.

They should have just given Bama the title at season's end and let 4 other teams play for something.

Think most were expecting new and exciting match ups between the blue bloods rather than 3 of the 4 teams being back for the 2nd time in 3 years.

I said this in another thread...agree entirely. I am a huge sports fan, and I have enjoyed watching college football most of my life. From week to week we remark on the crazy games that happen...and then it gets to this time of year, and I could not care less what happens. Been that way for a few years now.

Is that because of the CFP though? Or are just getting older and jaded about college football bowl games?

I just find myself more jaded about them because I know too much about the business of them and the "unfairness" of the system.

That's fair...but I don't think it's about being jaded, generally. I just don't find the games all that entertaining at this stage. And I don't feel compelled to watch as I do with college hoops championship...or Super Bowl..or World Series..or NBA Finals. I enjoy the regular season of college football.
