Dreads don't sell groceries like clean-cut white QBs.

I really hope Tom works out, but if he does, we will have to pay him to retain him long term right? If he doesn't work out, we are back to square one and have to draft a QB which we aren't good at doing. I still think they will need to give Tom more than a 2 game sample this season

He's signed through next year. After next year, we can cut Brock and pay him if needed.

Thanks. I still want to draft someone; I don't want Brock to come back in again for us ever

One thing that gives me hope is that it took until the 15th game of the 2009 season for Arian Foster to really get his shot. The coaching staff had totally overlooked him most of the year while Steve Slaton, Ryan Moats, and Chris Brown were being subpar.

Not that I expect it, but we can hope that Savage can be Arian Foster at QB.

We need to alternate Savage/ Osweiler every play to keep the defense guessing.

It's just funny that PFF can draw a conclusion like that after 2 and a half quarters

Yeah, but we don't need him to be a savior. With our defense, even being just plain average would give us a chance to win a playoff game.

Ummm, he completed 61.2% of his passes as a senior. Yeah, some college players are around 63-64% (Teddy Bridgewater was 71%), but that's hardly awful. It's not like Hackenberg who was at 53.5% last year. Maybe Barnwell got confused and was reading his freshman stats?

Can't wait to see Savage back out there Saturday night and see if he can build on a solid performance.

So happy they finally made this change.

Member Tom, you don't have to be great, just be better than Brock and get us through these next two years with respectable QB play. Anything more is just gravy.

If you can't be better than Brock, we as fans are screwed for one more season... again.
