Are we just going to ignore that Onuaku shoots 86% FTs underhanded?

I know it's only the Dleague. But still. 86%! That would be second or third best on our team. Plus he doesn't shoot many and I think that makes it more impressive-no chance to get in a rhythm.

He's only 20. Advanced stats loved him in college. Most Rockets bigs take a little while to contribute. Remember all the hate for Capela last year?

He's shown that he's willing to shoot underhanded FTs to better his game. He's been mocked a ton for it. Crushing at 86%. That's probably a better percentage than every person that mocked him.

He could be valuable in a year or two. He's the defense first big that differs from the offense first ones in Nene and Ryan. Good passer, too.

How many free throws does he shoot per game? Is it a small sample size?

    I'm sure it's 6/7.

He should change his name to Mark Price.

I like the fact that he swallowed his pride and decided to shoot underhand in order to be more effective. This is in vast contrast to the other shitty free throw shooters we had who insist on shooting the traditional way despite their suckage - Dwight, Josh Smith

I think he has a chance to be as good or better then Capella. He seems like he could be Capella 2.0 but only more coordinated and more of a physical player

    16. Small sample size is small.

Capela had a 59FT% in the Dleague. Even the free throw defense sucks there.

Morey is going to have home cranking at least 3 underhanded threes a game in the nba

I'm confused. Why? (Just to be clear that's 16 total. He is 14/16 for the season)

It's not easy to take 2 free throws a game and shoot that kind of clip. It's impressive.

I think he can be a 70 percent guy in the NBA. It's the other parts of his game we need to worry about, haha.

    Let's not just ignore he's
    - #3 in FG% too
    - #1 TOPS in True Shooting %,
    - #4 in Reb/gm
    - #2 in Reb% WELL in front of #3, only 0.2 behind leader, MORE encouraging than Reg/gm alone
    - #16 in blocks not great not terrible (whole team isn't too good on defense it seems)

    Looking less busty'ish

The best thing about him is he's only 20 years old. His ceiling is a lot higher than most people here realize
