    Would not mind a 2 year 30-34 mil deal to Beltran. Would be easy to get out of if need be next year

    Can they? Yes.. But that is a lot of money, and what do we do with Gattis? I would include him in a trade for Sale at that point, along with any prospect they wanted. We would win anything.

    I think signing Aoki means no Beltran. Beltran would be their 10th everyday hitter (not including Aoki) and for $15M+/yr it's probably a luxury Houston shouldn't afford.

    Can someone verify this? Signing Edwin costs us a 1st rounder but Beltran does not?

    That is correct. Beltran wouldn't cost us a pick because he was traded mid-season last year. Signing EE on the other hand, would cost us our 1st rounder.
