I am hoping for a crazy good game from our defense. Kind of like what I was hoping for against the Vikings. Brock will at least make a couple points happen. If we can shut them out at home and maybe pick off Siemian, I would be ecstatic.

    Let's have some fun.

Can you predict the new threads that will be created on here during or right after the game.

Last week we got the "Everytime we are on national TV" and "If you went to the game and stayed"

Two weeks ago it was "19 of 42 might be our worst QB passing percentage ever".

What new threads will be created today or tomorrow morning? Reps if you're close.

"I miss Kubiak" or "Kubak > O'brien" after Simien is the ultimate game manager and Brock throws another pick or two.

But seriously, I hope we don't crap the bed again...I want last week to be more than just doing what we should have done to a bad team....want to see signs of hope even if we do win, signs that we are more than first round playoff fodder.

"This team has a real shot of making the super bowl."

    Or

"This is the worst 4-3 team in history."

For sure a loss would signal a second "ignorant hot take week"

Love this post.. I'll go with:

"National Media still doesn't recognize us"

and a second "Fire Bill O'Brien 2.0" because we will need 2 threads to handle all the posts

You must have forgotten that you basically acknowledged that most of those "ignorant hot takes" (especially concerning Osweiler) were correct during the Colts game, and was as surprised as everyone else when they came back and won.

We've had fire the QB, fire the coach, fire the GM; only thing left is to fire the owner, right?

"McNair needs to sell the team!"

Something ending up accurate doesn't mean that those who jumped the gun weren't wrong for jumping the gun. If the reasoning is wrong, you don't get credit for happening to be right about the outcome.

Phillip Rivers beat them pretty soundly with quick passes to TE's and RB's and a decent running game. Played extremely smart. Unfortunately, we don't have the coaching to execute on a defense like Denver since nothing is a quick hitter with this team for some reason. It amazes me when I watch how easily teams like San Diego and others complete several passes against good defenses and we can't even complete 50%. For all of the excitement about the O'brien gameplanning I have been underwhelmed by his game planning on how to attack defenses. Gameplanning teams/coaches have been able to pick apart Wade's defense for years now.

"Brock Osweiler is the bust we thought"

"Brock Osweiler is average and we're stuck with his $20 million cap hit through 2019"

F that. This isn't college football, where a close loss can still be a positive. It's the NFL. Win or go home. We're past moral victories.....I want to see tangible results. I want to see Bill O'Brien show that he's capable of winning a tough game on the road in a hostile environment. I want to see Brock Osweiler rise above the criticism, and have a solid game. I want to see the defense get a good pass rush against Siemian, and maybe force a couple of turnovers. But overall, I want to see a goddamned win.
