This decision should DEFINITELY be made after 1 preseason game. Remember when the Rockets locked up Kelvin Cato after a good preseason game?
Sean Jones did. He made a very emphatic point on that. I think some other people tweeted the same thing.
Sean Jones? LOL Come on man. I'm not even here to defend Osweiler. I don't see star potential in him, definitely not in love with him. Sean Jones however is not a worthwhile opinion on this. Just because someone is a former (great) player, doesn't mean they are some amazing scout. How many practices has he even seen? LOL Braddock is about as negative on Osweiler as a Houston source can be and even he has softened his hate. (though he, like me, doesn't see star potential)
Savage holds the ball too long to be a good starter. He looks better in preseason because he knows the offense better than brock. We talking about preseason, not a game. PRESEASON!
Typical Millennial mindset. Brock is entitled to the job and Savage's hard work and skill will not matter. I think there should be a real competition. Unless they want to repeat the treatment that spoiled David Carr and created a BUST Diva.
Maybe both savage and brock will suck which I think is the mostly likely scenario. I didn't really see much in Brock even when he played with broncos. However, they should let whoever looks the best start.
Whoever looks the best in Game 1 of the preseason? We aren't watching practices and when you watch a game you don't know what you are looking at. In Brock's case for example, the team specifically avoided throwing downfield with him yesterday. For all we know they ran specific sets (that the defense was able to shut down) just to see Brock make those throws. That happens in pre-season. I remember a pre-season game where Schaub got killed for an awful "read" and it came out later that Kubiak setup the play specifically for Schaub to make that throw because he wanted to see the offense execute it.
