Chandler wasn't really offended people lol OP was just making a joke.

To answer Dirks question, it's all of the above, him, the team, and the city. It's not Cuban or Carlisle, they are probably the only reasons they actually get the consideration and interviews.

No young stars want to play with a 35+ year old over the hill ex superstar that can retire any year. Dirk being the teams best player is a problem, he isn't a star player anymore, in many respects he CURRENTLY is a lot like Ryan Anderson now, IMO very similar caliber players at this point in both of their careers, great offensive game from the 3 point line, mid range and post, defensive liabilities, below average rebounders, biggest difference is Dirk's 37 years old and is more clutch. My point is, nobody would be floored about the idea to play with a team led by Ryan Anderson, so why would they with a older slightly better Dirk? Surely he knows his game regressed from his star caliber days.

Factor in the team is just Dirk and a bunch of old/injured cast off's, then factor in Dallas isn't a special place to live and you have the answer as to why FA's don't want to sign.

I mean, look at who they have been chasing, Williams(2012), Howard(2013), Parsons(2014), DJ(2015), Whiteside(2016), all except for Parsons, they where young star players, coming from either younger and better teams, awesome cities (LA, NYK, Miami) or both.

So what the hell is Dirk expecting?

We need to make sure Chandler knows Dirk was hating so Chandler gets his feelings hurt.

    Tweet away....

Oh my God, this guy is so delusional. And the Grizzlies are stupid for giving him that ridiculous money.

Cuban should have opened his wallet and kept that 2011 championship team together. It all went downhill from there.

According to the NBA, a max player for a 7 year stretch. Can you blame him?

Which is really truly insane, but second tier teams have no choice but to overpay.

Well he didn't say he was good, he said he is a "big name". It seems like he might care more about being famous than being a good basketball player. Considering he has barely been on the court the last two years, he is a big name mostly because he keeps signing huge contracts.

If he doesn't care about how much he makes and really wants to play for a winner, then why did he sign a 2 year $40 million deal with the Mavs???......lol

Man, this really makes me feel for Dirk. He's been loyal beyond imagination to the Mavs and basically singlehandedly brought them a championship, and they show their thanks by convincing him to take pay cuts so they can surround him with (mostly) trash.

I love seeing the Mavs struggle, but Dirk really deserves better.
