Since we largely failed to attract any of our top free agent targets, we need to start thinking about trades focused on revamping our roster and helping other teams looking for cap room or with bunched up rosters. Ideas? Gotta be creative. Orlando is an obvious trade partner. They've got too much in the frontcourt and not enough in the backcourt. Atlanta is another if they attempt to resign Horford.
Unfortunately lots of teams have cap space to offer so that's nothing special. I could get excited about moving our rotational players for draft picks or young prospects.
Eric Bledsoe/Brandon Knight/ Ricky Rubio/ Avery Bradley PJ Tucker / Terrence Ross / Lou Williams / Jimmy Butler Nerlens Noel / Paul Millsap / Nikola Vucevic / Aaron Gordan / Marcin Gortat That off the top of my head
Been hammering the drum on Eric Bledsoe. I'd take him and Tyson Chandler. I'm sure Tyson doesn't want to finish his career mentoring all that young blood. Before has questionable value due to his health. Tyson has familiarity with MDA. Okc might need to shed Kanter to get Horford. Kanter could be ridiculous with the MDA system. Orlando might try to shed Vucevic. I know little about his game. Sacramento has been rumored to be shopping Gay. Trevor has a great contract and still produces recently. Beverley has a similar contract and can shoot well but he's not your traditional point guard so it might be tough to find a fit. Capela is a nice young asset but would leave us with rookies at center. Kj has some value and a nice contract considering the cap but is unproven. Trez is okay value and Dekker is probably negative value. Brewer is likely negative value. Aside from picks I think that's all our assets.
I will put only realistic trade targets according to my opinion. Burke Rubio Vucevic (debated if it's realistic) Monroe Koufos Brook Lopez Lamb Evans
Nerlens Noel Eric Bledsoe Aaron Gordon Paul Millsap Kyle Korver Rockets trade assets: Brewer, Beverley, Ariza, Dekker, Capela, future picks
Knight, Bledsoe (only one of them will be available if they get Millsap, probably Knight), Rubio...Noel, Okafor (Codman hinted at him), Embiid (?) these guys are probably available and worth a look, other than that i don't know as today, but probably others will be on the move later
If we put knight, harden, and Anderson on the floor at the same time we might as well just let them score so we can get the ball back
No need, we got Ryan An_erson at $20M for 4 years. He's good for at least half a season per, just don't expect him to guard anyone even when healthy.
I wish we had a thread that started anew every year for this exact discussion. Would really help with the clutter around the game.
