The number is crazy Kyle Lowry Patrick Patterson Goran Dragic Shawn Livingston (honorable mention - Luis Scola) Not to mention Marcus Morris earlier in the playoffs ALL OF THESE PLAYERS COULD HAVE HELPED US THIS YEAR!!! I know that we had to trade Lowry to originally get Harden, but we could have gotten him back. Too many moves!!!
True, however with the exception of Livingston all of these players will probably not make the Finals.
I never really understood why the team gave up on Lowry. He was solid on both ends and showed lots of potential. And the team eventually settled on PB who isn't better than Lowry on either end of the court.
If the Rockets fielded the starting lineup above they'd be in the playoffs now.....at halftime watching Adam Silver open enveloped in the Ben Simmons derby.
Going after Melo instead of jumping on Lowry has been the dumbest high risk, low reward move for Moree.
We're still talking about Lowry? He already said he stayed over there to be the man. He was considering us, until he met with Toronto...it's not like he would have shunned Toronto just because Morey met with him first.
cmon man you know the answer is always asset +asset +asset+asset =harden the lowry one probably pains me the most. you also have to remember he was out with that weird infection and was being a baby to mchale too. he has admitted as much
You also need to remember that Lowry was pissed going from an amazing coach to a bull**** coach. Lowry said bye Felicia, not us. Adelman said bye Felicia too.
They knocked on Lowry's door on day 1. Rather than signing him outright, they jumped straight into the Melo sweepstakes. Bosh was a hail mary as the FA market started drying up, with the Heat reversing their decision to lowball him after they realized they couldn't get anyone else better for that money.
We're a stupid team and operate on stupid principles. Why would you want to work somewhere where you know you're expendable? We should've focused on player development a while back. It's no secret that the most successful teams in the west have had their teams together for a while.
They also drafted high...people can complain all they want, but it's on Les..he wants to keep making money, that means not losing. Morey pretty much did what he had to do with the parameters Les has set for him.
This. Exactly why this team should stay together. Just trim away the fat. They are a championship contending team short a good pg. Lowry would fit this team like a glove.
If we put him on the table that same contract before he meets Toronto, he would be here. We didn't cause we were going for Melo before. It was a failure, it's like that. With Dragic the problem it was the 4th year, if Im not mistaken. Paradoxically 4 years later we have not found our PG yet...
