Yes. It is because he gets the calls, Heat can't tighten up their defense on him and he's able to have more room to operate, drawing double team to pass it to the open man resulting the assists. His defense have been good all year long, so it's not the main reason to his playoff success.
He's no superstar or elite top tier NBA guard. He's a solid NBA player rated somewhere in the middle of the second tier NBA guards.

I don't see anything that says his game has evolved since he was here. It's the same. But I always thought if he shot the ball 12.5 times instead of 9.3 times, his stats would look like what people expect from that position. Someone who only shoots 9.3 times a game is always going to have inconsistency issues unless he is a pure shooter, which he is not. Jamal Crawford for example shoots 13 shots in 1590 seconds. that is talent. He should teach like the dream when he is done playing. I do like that lin has grown out his hair, flail his arms and snaps his head back and to the left when he feels contact. you have to commit to the art of theatrics.
Yup, Harden offended many players...it wasn't only Lin. But it definitely created division on the team, and that hurt everyone (not just Lin).
Westbrook and Wade are the same height as Lin, but both will take it the rack with monster jams. Lin doesn't have that kind of strength and hops. If he did his shot would probably be better too. That's what it would take for Lin to get to top tier.
Hey I am unbanned! Anyway, I think to put everyone with something positive to say about Lin into one basket is one dimensional. Same with those who categorized people who criticizes Lin's plays as LOHs. There are a minority of "LOFs" that are delusional and projected their own problems onto Lin. The rest of Lin supporters are just about as realistic as any basketball fans.
Lin doesn't even play PG that much. He's a combo guard, playing more on SG than PG. This imo, benefits him a lot. He's decent enough to hold off most backup SGs and exploit on the backup PGs. He's definitely one of the best coming off the bench. The 7th voting on 6th man of the year isn't nothing.
At SG, Lin isn't anything more than serviceable...for SG, he's undersized and doesn't have the shooting touch to really be good there. He's definitely better at PG, where he has size advantage and video game-like first step.
Athleticism isn't something you can acquire later on. For Lin to get to top tier, he needs to improve his shooting significantly and become consistent. Like how Jason Kidd was able to do later in his career. Lin has speed and he's learning to be more crafty, but end of the day, he needs to be able to knock down shots consistently, that would open up his drive lane as well.
I disagree. Yes, he has a lot of issue defending bigger SG, but he can handle most of the backup SG. As a SG, he doesn't have to care much about playmaking. He can focus on attacking the rim aggressive and stay aggressive. He's not suited to play PG the whole game, handle problems make him TO prone. 2nd to 3rd option playermaker is where he belongs and rest is focus on attacking the rim and knock down open shots.
Westbrook the absolute freak of nature athlete? Possibly the most athletic point guard ever? And Wade, a freak athlete in his own right? Built like a tank? Strong as a bull? Those guys are just absolute beasts winners of the genetic lottery, Especially prime Wade and current Westbrook.
