Setting aside whether this is the right result, the Texans just got a huge break.
    Week 3 = no Tom

Hopefully, it will go better than Houston vs. Warriors w/o Curry.

Really good news for the Texans, could go a long way towards the Texans starting out the season 3-0 if they can get past the Chiefs.

Unless Jimmy G is as good as everybody (including Belicheck and BOB) thinks he is.

And he followed that up with benching one of them one game into the season... and then willing to cut one of them hours before a game, which would have left them with no backups.

Clearly wasn't married to either of them...despite how good a soundbite sounds on Hard Knocks.

All you are doing is confirming what he said, a sound bite that says BOB likes a QB means nothing.

Should be a fun storyline. The Texans new QB vs. a QB they were reportedly interested in at one time.

I'm sure if Jimmy John throws a TD, this place will melt down with people saying we should have acquired him instead of Ozwizard.

There was no soundbite saying he liked Jimmy G.

Him traveling personally to scout him, going to his pre-draft workouts, and likely leaking enough interest to spark the Patriots nabbing him, was enough of a tell.

As opposed to him trading for a player and picking up a player, those weren't as much of a "tell" I guess.

Trading a 7th round pick for a player he eventually wanted to pre-emptively cut.... and picking up a cheap player that has been replaced a year after picking up the last similar cheap player that was replaced... again, no real commitment to any of those moves.

They finally committed actual resources to the position... everything else they've done since Schaub has been filler or patch-jobs. Nothing more, nothing less.

Jimmy G is going to play great for four games, Brady comes back and Pats dominate, they win the SB, Pats trade Jimmy G for a 1st round pick in the offseason.

BOB throwing a tantrum and wanting to cut someone that later went on to play well for the Ravens that same season says nothing about him liking or not liking him as a player. He was with him in NE and he traded for him, same story with Hoyer. Hoodie picked both players too so you could say he liked them as well. It just doesn't mean what you want it to mean in relation to Jimmy G.

Now I liked Jimmy G too and he might be good, I'm just saying your reasoning is fallacious.

He looks like he just won a gold medal at the special olympics.
