Don't mean to be insulting, but kinda, yeah. Tretola is a fat @ss. Kind of a waste of space. I don't think I'd draft him to the Texans really at all. Watching him try to kick slide at the combine was kind of embarasing. Perry is a guy kind of looking for a position on 3rd down. I dont know he fits in at all either. He's kind of a poor man's Mckinney, and we already have Mckinney. I like Braunecker more than Adams for his grit. I am concerned about Billings's height and ability to see the play unfold - at Baylor he's often fighting well after the ball has gone past him. Fuller and Boyd is a nice haul, but I don't see playing time for both with Strong still on the team. I think you maybe get as much production from Carroo/Strong as Fuller/Boyd/Strong. I could go on, but I would absolutely take my low scoring draft over your high scoring one.

I hope people realize that the scenarios at first-pick.com where you trade back 5 times and end up with 3 second rounders, 5 third rounders and 4 4th rounders are completely unrealistic. The game is both much more willing to propose a deal, and much more profligate in their proposed compensation for moving up than is the case in reality. For example, in 2014, Arizona traded their first round selection (20 overall) for New Orleans 1st (27 overall) for dropping 7 spots, Arizona got only New Orleans' pick at the end of the 3rd round (91st overall). Last year, SF went from 15 to 17, swapping with San Diego, and the compensation was San Diego's 5th round pick last year and their 6th rounder this year. Most of the time, the website will offer you a second and a third, even if you only move back from, say, 22 to 24. Finally, last year in the first three rounds, 2 teams had 5 total picks (Cleveland and the Saints both had an extra 1st and 3rd rounders in addition to their picks). Cincinatti, Kansas City and the Rams each had an extra 3rd rounder. Also, the Bucks had 2 2nds, but no 3rd, while the Colts had 2 3rds but no 2nd. And that was the whole sum of additional picks in the first three rounds. Nobody had more than 2 picks in any individual round. These scenarios where a team trades down multiple times and ends up with 7 picks by the end of round 3 just don't happen. As you get into day three, you begin to see more of that type of thing, but not really at all before then.

Sorry. If you're having fun, by all means enjoy. I'm just worried that when draft day rolls around, people are going to be yelling at their TVs and flaming out in the Texans forum because the Texans didn't trade back 7 times and pick up an entire new 12 man offense like you managed to do.
No need to worry. We are aware it is a computer game that is not realistic. Everything about the game is the opinion of the designers and developers; from the team needs, player rankings, and trade proposals. With that said, I do think the Texans will do good if they can trade down from 1-22 even if it just nets them a 3rd rounder for going from 22 to 26 or so.

Charone Peake actually has the potential to be about as good as any WR in the draft. He's just perpetually injured and has drop problems. But he is big, strong, fast, and quick. Lining up on the field, he looks like Michael Thomas or Josh Doctson. He also has crazy-long 34" arms. I do agree, he can be good, and we can get him late if we fill our other needs. For as deep as everyone says this Dline class is, after the 4th round there really isnt any I would like. My favorite part about Peake though is his Alma Mater... I mean DHop, Watkins, M.Bryant. If he is 3/4 of them i would be ecstatic.

It's a very nice draft, but from what I understand, Rankins' skills are supposedly heavily skewed towards a penetrating one gap defense as opposed to the traditional 3-4 2 gap that the Texans run. Great player but maybe not the best fit, sort of like Aaron Donald a couple of years back. Also, Tapper is difficult to project in a 3-4. OLB I guess? Please don't take this as some kind of personal criticism. I just enjoy talking this stuff out. Westerman is really athletic - he moves really well for a lineman. I've also seen some people recommend that he could move to center, which would make him even more intriguing.
I stand by this draft from last year. Cooper and Peters alone makes this a solid draft. Karlos, Covington, and Diggs are icing on the cake.
