I remember reading somewhere that if DMO started the rest of the season that he would qualify for a larger contract. It seems clear that he is not really playing a traditional starter role. At first I thought it was due to him getting his legs back, but it's still happening.

Is there some Morey move here by doing this?

The team is saving him for the playoffs. Classic Pop move.

Do you honestly think he's playing well? A guy who was in china last month is running circles around him in every facet of the game right now.

There are no contract implications to his playing time

It will make sense if Beasley was getting his minutes but is clear that Brewer is the one getting his minutes.

He's just a role player, easily replaceable.

    Right James?

“The rest of the guys are role players or pieces that complete our team. We've lost some pieces and added some pieces. I think we'll be fine next season.”

Stop overrating him and all the other role players like Terrence Williams, Marcus Thornton & Kevin McDaniels.

Very inconsistent right now. Hopefully by playoff time the game slows down, his stamina improves and he gets into a rhythm. I like the D-Mo/Beasley team, different modes of attack.

I felt like we should have fed D-Mo the ball more but he hasn't earned it yet.

There is no "right now". This is same player DMo that we have always had. He, like Jones, is an average role player. Jones slightly beats him out because of his rebounding and shot blocking.
Don't expect anyone else to admit this though.

Is there no such thing as starter qualifying offer vs. bench qualifying offer? Tried googling it but no luck.

Dmo is better . There is no conspiracy . Beasley is a different kind of player and is more aggressive . When Dmo plays well we win games . When Beasley plays well it's still a toss up . Our starters are our best lineup , if they can click we can really make a decent run . Dmo is still playing his way into form . Beasley is in shape and plays exceptionally aggressively .

For some reason our coach is giving minutes to Brewer over both Dmo and Beasley . Why can't Beasley play some 3 if they want his aggression ? Who knows ...

Agree with this. People keep speaking DMo's praises here and glower over the few minutes he plays in each game. I'm just not seeing it. He's been mediocre at best, and it may very well be his injury so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. But Beasley really has outperformed him every aspect of the game.

The difference the more Dmo play the better he is. Jones never had the impact Dmo have last year.

And defensibly Dmo might not get half a shot block more but he is and last year was better than anytime Jones play and lets not talk about IQ and passing.

Harden was bad the first half then redeem himself start players get enough PT to make up for bad stretches. Dmo miss a shot and an assignment go to the bench and never come back, even when he play wells and the team is winning inexplicable never get back in the game. Brewer make bad plays after bad plays and coach stick with him.

The explain why is Beasley not getting more PT over him?

Beasley get about 21 a game Dmo 16 the you get 11 minutes of Brewer at 4.

Look at brewer negative number every single game that's the difference between wining vs ATL OKC the Jazz and being fighting for 8 instead of in 6 place.

Having a really hard time reading your posts. But it sounds like you're asking why isn't Beasley getting more playing time, followed by numbers indicating that he is getting more playing time than DMo? Anyways I don't disagree Brewer has become a huge liability, but Beasley is simply outperforming DMo.

I swear to God, you can just replace DMo's name in some of these posts with JLin and you'd have the exact same arguments that were made here several years ago about Lin. Just give it a rest, man, DMo sits for reasons that are partly good and the rest known only to JBB hissownself.

He needs to be involved, but right now Beasley is better, so he is earning more minutes, what is strange is Brewer is still getting ANY minutes.
