Only posting on here because the announcer makes an inference about a legitimate shooting guard for the Lakers, I was surprised.

Scott Hastings thinks Glen Rice is a shooting guard.

What's so sad is that Hastings was super funny when he played in the NBA. Now he's the worst announcer in the NBA.

(And, yes, I watch Rocket games.)

I assume you mean Olajuwon, Barkley, and Cuttino Mobley? Because Scottie Pippen was never a Rocket no matter what anyone says.

Did we win this series? Pippen looks like he wanted more than anybody out there, and I don't even like the guy

He scored 37 points on 27 shots, so he was very "active" in this game. However, it was his only really "good" game of the series. Pippen lost game 1 by dribbling the ball off his foot on the final possession.

Keep in mind the context of the situation: Pippen had been a disappointment all season, all while whining about not having a big enough role in the offense. He gets to the playoffs, loses the ball off his foot in game 1, and the Rockets lose meekly in 4 games. It is small consolation that he scored a lot in one of those games.

Yep. I remember Pippen being a huge disappointment and eventually calling Barkley fat and washed up. In all fairness, Rudy ran the most stagnant offense in NBA history. The whole offense was ran thru postups then kickouts. You can see that in the clip we just watched. Pippen wasn't the type of player made for a offense like that

This series was Kobe's coming out party.

He ate Pippen alive on offense and defense.

Yup. The Rockets brought Pippen in and then made him a spot-up three-point shooter around Olajuwon and Barkley post-ups. Mobley could have filled that role better, as Pippen was never a dead-eye perimeter shooter. It was an awful fit--there was no point getting Pippen if that's all they really wanted him to do.

That doesn't excuse his poor attitude about it all, but he was disappointing here because he wasn't brought in to play his game.
