I don't hate Lawson. He can play. But I am confused as hell as to why he never got off the launching pad here. Just does not make sense.

Pippen can go tongue clean Eleanor Skepple's taco for all I care.

I don't think Lawson will ever turn it around. Reminds of when Brooks returned from the ankle sprain and was just bad... Luckily Brooks can shoot, and that kept him in the league. When you're undersized, not a consistent shooter, and rely on your quickness, you can crash pretty fast. He gets all of his shots blocked at the rim, and he cant shoot. I really don't know what will keep him in the league. Perfect example of fool's gold...

Rockets don't use Lawson effectively. He's not a 3 point set shooter. Not his strength what so ever. We could've brought in darn near any NBA player this summer to stand and shoot as inconsistent as Lawson from the 3 point line.

Rockets are just as accountable for making Lawson look bad as Lawson. Heck, Beverly not playing any better. Between the two Lawson has more upside than Beverly in my opinion. Beverly spot shooting PG and Lawson being used as a 3 Point set shooter from the 3 point line. Makes ZERO SENSE to have 2 point guards doing the same thing and not that well! Allows teams to double Harden sooo much easier like last night. I bet if Lawson was given the keys to create in real time like he did in Denver we'd see more solid performances from Lawson than we do now. Just my opinion.

Pipps... but I like him when he's with Bulls. To a lesser extent, Cato... I thought he's got it in him...

Why do people hate Cato? He didn't live up to his contract, but he played hard and was a good team mate. Unlike Scottie Quitten, the Jailblazer.

Exactly. Cato was a disappointment. Pippen was a team-killer. He destroyed any chance of us being successful in Hakeem's waning years.

Pippen doesn't belong in this discussion. He's in a league of his own.

Max player with 6 rings. Rips on his teammates. Forces an unfair trade that screwed the organization for years

Cato cost us the most, didn't he?

Plus he was here multiple years tying our hands with that horrible contract.

This could be a rare thread where Clutchfans is in 100% agreement.

    The answer is Pippen.

Well the understanding was we were gonna adjust our style of play once he got here. Harden was gonna play more off the ball and Ty would split ball handling. But the Rockets nor Harden has even tried to adjust to having a pg. Half the time Ty's in Brewer's getting most his shots smh. I'd rather have Ty creating off the dribble than Brewer coming off screens bricking open jumpers. When Harden's in the game Ty's in the corner standing instead of creating. LET TY COOK!!

One thing that could also be a factor is Bev's play. Beverley's hustle & energy on both ends has hurt Ty because he's only good with the ball in his hands.
