He is and nobody's even close in my opinion. I hope some disagree because I haven't followed the NBA that much this year, just the Rockets sucked the fun out of it and it's been a weird year all around. Kawhi, Durant, maybe some other players are having great seasons but nothing like this guy. I remember when Vernon Maxwell set the NBA record for threes in season with 190 something in 90-91. Curry already has 200!! Just crazy.

So, is he or isn't he and why? :)

Curry can't ISO. You can't isolate him on one side and expect him to beat his man like you can with Harden, Durant, or Lebron.

On the flip side, he plays off ball better than anyone.... ever.

Hmmmm i still think lebron is a player you can throw on any team and he will make you a power house immediately...i wonder if curry can do the same.

As good as curry is iso, hes unstoppable on pnr and brilliant plays they run, if he didnt have the iq from his teammates is he as good in different systems?

Talking about rocknpile on of course ;)

Fair enough about Lebron, but I think Curry has outplayed him clearly this season.

Curry, like duncan, benefit from the system they are in. Look at how well curry and the Warriors played under mark jackson, good but not championship caliber. I don't think curry jumps to mvp without the system. Lebron wins mvp in 2 different systems, and makes a lotto team a championship contender immediately

Didn't Curry have ankle issues holding him back though.
Not to mention it was never the play of Curry that kept him from winning an MVP, it was team success imo.

The great thing about Curry is that he's bringing back team play vs hero ball that Jordan made popular.

I still think Lebron, Durant (and maybe Westbrook) are better all-around and individual talents, but right now Curry's shooting is on another level.

    Meh

Curry is not much without moving illegal screens and refs helping GSW. Haren is much better.

As oppose to ISO Ball Harden who will lead the Rockets to the championship?

There's only so much ISO Ball will get you. Curry on GSW last year showed us what happens when the best player plays WITH the team and makes his teammates BETTER.

Harden's iso skills are good at getting $200M Adidas contracts, and his style is flashy.

Curry's skills are good at getting championships.

No doubt. Curry is weak. Without the ref giving him all the calls and all the screens he get, Curry can't do anything. He could never take anyone one on one like Harden.

Curry needs the refs and his teammates to get him points. James can do everything by himself.
