Hire Calvin Murphy as interim coach?

Discussion in 'Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves' started by DaDakota, Jan 2, 2016.

?

If we fire JBB, what about Calvin as our interim coach for the rest of the year?

  1. Heck Yes, Murph knows the game and has cred with players

  2. No way, Murph would not make a difference

At least he would have the credibility to hold his players accountable and the man KNOWS the game of basketball.

If we decide JBB is not cutting it, what about Murph?

Murph has always said he wouldn't want to be coach because he would probably rough someone up.

Another plus, his clothes could distract the opponents.

While we're at it, why not hire Craig Biggio?

I actually campaigned for this awhile back! I KNOW he would have better results than what were getting from our coach now.
Give him a try for the rest of the year! WHAT do we have to lose???

    ADDED BONUS:
He would come relatively cheap LES!!!!

Because his team has a DH, thus irrelevant.

BTW: great idea OP. I've always liked Calvin's commentary and passion. He knows the game.

I'd at least put Murph on staff since he doesn't want to be a head coach but having him on board free throws would improve as well as the intensity on defense in my opinion

His team only had a DH when playing interleague games in AL cities.

I don't think you are following along....maybe you are too busy thinking about asterisks to focus on this conversation, but the Astros were an NL team then kiddo.

Thanks for the reminder... thumbs up ;)

Stros still had to play "fake baseball" at some point.

Surely your ardent stance led to your boycotting WS games.

    Wait..... no it didn't.
