Because Sacramento is totally going to do that deal.

And hate him or love him, the Rockets have a starting center named Dwight Howard. No, they are not trading Dwight.

Yeah, DeMarcus Cousins for Capela and Jones. Let's get this done.

Both sides win. Rockets get DeMarcus Cousins, and the Kings get two people for the price of one. That's a combined 44 years of life and basketball experience for Capela/Jones compared to Cousins' 25 years of experience. Sacramento is getting a really great deal here.

We would have to trade basically everything of value we had to make a competitive offer.

Jones, Motiejunas, Harrel, Dekker, McDaniels, Capella, 2017 pick

    Lawson
    Harden
    Ariza
    Cousins
    Howard

And it gets even better if you look at it in terms of dog years! What a steal by Sactown!

Seriously though, how many bigs do people think Sacramento needs? They have Cousins, Koufus, and WCS all who are quality to above quality big man, with even more sitting on the bench like Quincy Acy. Lets add two more in Capela and Jones!

Why would Sacramento trade one of the top 10-15 players in the NBA for an expiring underachiever (Jones) and an offensively limited future rotational big?

This should be random trade thread.

    Anyways, I will play.

Reality, cap situation, fine details etc etc....aside

I am really intrigued with a twin tower lineup of Dwight Howard at C and Cousins at PF or vice versa

What makes this a possibility is that Cousins can actually shoot from outside so he can play alongside Dwight and wont clog the lane up for Harden.

What makes this even more workable is that unlike Dwight, Cousins actually has a post game.

This tandem can dominate on the defensive end and the boards.

PS. This would be one step closer to beating the Warriors. Pound them inside the paint. Another one would be to get someone to hound Curry and make life miserable for him, like Kwahi does for the Spurs.

I don't know. Sounds like we're giving up too much. How about a 2nd round pick instead?

That's a great point. They would be getting an extra 133 dog years of experience in this deal.

    That's invaluable.

No! Cousins is a cancer. Let him rot in Sacramento.

They really hate Cousins at this point. Capella is worth at least a high first round draft pick right now and some people think he could develop into a top player.

Maybe even throw in Dmo in there.

Meh... I'd rather package Capella and Jones for Drummond or Anthony Davis.

Capella and Harrel for Boogie, Tjones and Brewer for Durant.

    Lawson
    Harden
    Ariza
    Boogie
    Dwight

    Durant off the bench.
