Blocks and sound defense do not land you in KIA commercials. Dunks do.

Both can be true. He spends less time at the elbows and above when DJ is on the bench.

Short arms, meh shot-blocking timing, and with the guys playing next to him Blake's correctly deduced that it's not worth picking up cheap fouls contesting shots at the rim.

He's still a far better defensive player than, say, Ama're in his prime, a guy who did go for blocks.

Westbrook is probably the most athletic people in the NBA, not only he is not a rim protector (of course due to his size), but he is not a great defender also.

LOL I'm so happy what chose what at his username. I don't think I've ever seen a poster who fit his name the most.

Not sure it's about DeAndre. But I was thinking about the same thing. the Paul-Griffin tandem has very similar skill set as the Stockton-Malone tandem, especially now that Griffin's jump shot has improved so much.

Until he learns to create his own jumpshot off the dribble, he'll never be a top 5 player.

Aaron Gordon would be a better fit for Rockets. Younger, just as athletic and has developed the 3ball.

Don't blame Blake. The DD curse was in full effect on him. He would be MVP until DD said he was going to be the best player in the NBA.

Blake after another horrible game is now for the season:

    41% FG
    7 rebounds

    YOUR POWER FORWARD.

OP should start his own NBA podcast. These takes are brilliant.

This was a silly thing to say then and laughably stupid in retrospect...

He was a great player. Injuries took too much from him. Seems like he will have a Amare type career at this point.
