    Didn't Garnett get a lot of heat some years ago using war imagery to describe how he was ready for the playoffs? Did he get fined?

    The NBA makes money selling an image to it's advertisers. It's not surprising that they want to make it known that these types of celebrations won't be tolerated. Sure its a weak fine but can you imagine how many kids are going to start celebrating like this when they score points at a basketball game just because they say someone at the professional level do it? At least Westbrook isn't pointing it at anyone.

    Once the NBA starts to limit where players can have tattoos then we can start about discussing players' rights and stuff, but for now I have no problem with the NBA trying to keep it's players from adding on to the scoring celebrations.

    Please "kids" already do gun gestures on the court. Just go watch some AAU ball and see for yourself. And as far as this so called "image" the NBA is trying to sell I guess flopping and crappy officiating is part of it.

    He made the most money any NBA player ever made if I recall but did much charity work notably in habitat for humanity. He gets a pass on just everything.

    Maybe. If so, alot more fines better come down. If not, then we know for sure the nba league office is weak. The test will be the first time a star player does a gun celebration in a public way.
