Week 6: Sunday 1:00 PM EST/12:00 PM CST CBS: Tom McCarthy, Adam Archuleta For the MOD: Spoiler Sorry Castor...Dont hate me...but hate having to see the Colts thread getting bumped up for this game, and yes its Friday. Go Texans!
If Hoyer sucks and O'Brien puts Mallett back in, I will officially be convinced that this season is one big troll job involving both QB's and BOB.
Considering Jacksonville is coming home after a long road trip...-1.5 vs a bad Texans team isnt that bad line for the home team. The Texans barely beat the Bucs...who beat the Jags by 8 (high scoring game) Since scoring is going to be a legit issue, I expect the Jags to destroy our secondary, and run at will(hope yall are starting TJ Yeldon, in 10 player leagues). The key to this game is pressure. As the season has progressed, Bortles is starting to show that if he has time...he will make the correct throw. Without Clowney, an already inept LB core...is suddenly worse. Teams are now officially scheming against JJ Watt at ALL times. And I expect the trend to continue this week. That being said, this team is stupid enough to win and keep our city engaged...only to find ways to do Texans like things at the end of the season. Would not be surprised if this team rattles off 3 straight wins...just to lure us poor fans in.
This is going to be a great game. I think the stadium will be about 20% full. Both teams should just lose to get the highest draft pick possible. 5-6 wins for the season is meaningless for both teams. I predict 0-0 tie game.
I'm actually hoping we tank the season already (which is a weird feeling -- I've never favored tanking for any of my hometown teams). Any good QBs in next year's draft? It seems everyone else in our division has successfully sorted out their QB position.
It's not looking that promising this year, but we'll probably pick someone, maybe Hackenberg but Goff and Cook are guys we'll hear about a lot between now and the draft. As to the rest of the division, I'm not sold on Bortles or Mariota so I'm not really sold that they've fully sorted out their QB positions but it's fair to say that they have guys that they'll live and die with for at least a few more seasons.
there is no reason we should be favorite on the road. with that said, i have the Texans ML part of my 6 game parlay and I'm fairly confident the Texans win. not really confident but gawd damn if we lose to the jags
Well with Foster back possibly at full speed, that might be enough to win, but the defense has been just awful the last few weeks and that was with Clowney. If the defense doesn't step up and remember that they know how to play football then I don't see how the Texans can win.
