With Foster coming back earlier than expected, I don't think it's necessary. Grimes and Hilliard have shown something too
Shouldn't really matter as long as he can still play. It's not like he'd be here longer than this season.
If he could play he wouldn't have been cut from the Bills. We have enough backs. OL and Secondary are worrisome.
I'd take him. He could hold it down for the first four games and then after Foster is hopefully back would be a competent back up to have. I'd say worth the $2.7 mil he's getting this year
I have always liked fred jackson. If both parties could make the money work I would be all for it. Like some have said, bill's garbage so it won't hurt if we pass on him

He's been consistently putting up decent numbers splitting the run game with Buffalo. He'd be a good pick up. Bills didnt need him - they picked up LeSean McCoy in the offseason.
I hope I'm wrong but I think Hilliard is garbage as a runner in the NFL and don't get what they see in him (other than maybe good pass pro). I get that he's a bigger back that will pound inside but he's just too slow footed. No matter what type of back you are in the NFL you need to be able to hit the hole fast and shift your feet to some extent. I feel similarly about Blue but he's got slightly more burst. If it were up to me I'd be playing a committee of Blue/Polk and Grimes and passing downs.
