He needs to recover fast, hate watching Conger try to control the running game.
Would have been nice if they were making that decision to have done it earlier. Give your manager an extra arm or bat for tonight.
i think he can hit .235 in the majors. On the astros .235 is like hitting .280. =) should be exciting. get well, castro.
Maybe they knew the flight times from CC to Houston better than me. I knew Stassi was struggling this season, but he's been much better the last couple of months with an OPS over .800 in both.
ah. was joking regardless. i'm sure they made that decision before they announced it publicly. or i'm sure stassi was on his way in case regardless (obviously).
He could only .211 in Fresno so he would have to get pretty hot. Bad news for the 'Stros. At least Castro hit .211 but was great at handling pitchers.
IIRC, Stassi was hitting around .300 in August. Regardless, Stros will direly miss Castro's ability to hold runners
Castro should be good to go in 2-3 weeks. I had a similar injury earlier this year. Hurts like hell. It feels like the muscle is tearing every time you do something that causes it to flex. Being a catcher, there's no way he can crouch for a while. With rest and treatment, he'll be back to finish off the season without issue.
On this team, he certainly is. Conger's bat has gone in the s***ter and his defense seems to be getting worse. Unless Stassi gets super hot, we need a healthy Castro.
