Dang! A true WWF legend has fallen... RIP..Roderick "Roddy" George Toombs! (AKA Rowdy Roddy Piper) ....... ....... .......
young people need to be better informed about the long term effects of steroid and cortisone use. when you're not so healthy as you get older even after usage has been stopped it can lead to heart problems and amputations. this is why i hate it when money people like cuban are in favor of steroid use in pro sports. they don't really care about the players.
He was also arrested at one point for smoking crack and apparently had a pretty humongous 80's style coke habit at one point.
reports say it was natural causes. first dusty, now piper. hogan went on a racist rant and lost his job. whos next?
Professional wrestling and most wrestlers seemed very corny, but he made it seem kind of cool. Unique act. Underrated action film guy.
I'm hearing it was cardiac arrest while he slept. Not confirmed tho Loved Piper's Pit back in the day. Shame what these guys put their bodies through when they were young led to shorter lives for some of them.
Wow, this guy brings back some memories of watching wrestling back in the 70's and 80's. Also, let's give Houston some credit, though... long before he was WWF/WWE material, he was kicking butt for the NWA and Paul Boesch/Houston Wrestling.
