Keep all series info in this thread. Remember no play by play in this thread there are other places to get that. Keep discussions focused on the series. Non game discussion go in there own threads. All games are on RSSW unless otherwise noted. 7-31 Rubby De La Rosa, RHP (8-5) vs. Scott Feldman, RHP (4-5) 7:10 8-1 Jeremy Hellickson, RHP (7-6) vs. Dallas Keuchel, LHP (12-5) 6:10 8-2 Robbie Ray, LHP (3-5) vs. Collin McHugh, RHP (12-5) 1:10
Rubby is vulnerable to the HR. I smell a 4 HR, 10 K game--both our "strengths" Then W (Keuchel @ home) and W (McHugh back on track)
Astros avoid ARI's best pitcher, Robbie Ray. Goldschmidt is a nice attraction for MM, but then again, so are those 1st place Stros!!!
Last time I made a series prediction we got swept, so I'm going to refrain from doing so again the rest of this season...
Only if Stars been in DAL since '67  Bad matchup against McHugh... don't bet on winning that one
Seeing that McHugh has given up 3 runs or less in 7 of his last 8 starts, i'll take my chances with Us over Them on that one anyday
Given the Angels face Kershaw and Grienke next two nights (plus maybe another stud SP if they swing a trade in the next hour), we hopefully should be up by at least 4 games by the end of the series. Hope we don't take the DBacks lightly--this is a huge series.
So if history has taught us anything, with Goldschmidt being from the Woodlands he will go on an absolute tear this weekend. Heres hoping for the opposite
Should win the series, but game 1 could be a let down. D-backs are hot like us and Rubby has been pitching better as of late, but then again, so has Feldman. Let's make Gomez's debut a good one!
