http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/ Lots of money going to guys that are either underperforming, over the hill, or both. Their crappy cap management has largely been covered up by Luck.
Luck makes everyone in that organization look good, including GM Ryan Grigson. He's spent stupid money on lots of mediocre guys, and doesn't exactly have a glowing draft record, but due to a weak division coupled with a top 5 Quarterback, he's been saved from criticism.
I don't think anyone is mistaking the Colts for a good drafting team. They went TE-TE in the 2nd/3rd of the Luck draft. I will give them credit for putting together Vontae Davis and Greg Toler. It made their defense respectable enough, like our 2011 db fa's.
Colts make acquisitions that remind me a lot of the Carroll Dawson era Rockets. Nothing but Mo Taylor's on their defense.

thats because the colts defense is NOT mediocre, andrew luck fans lke to use superalatives whenever russell wlson is talked about being better than him a defense thats mediocre would be the redskins who have given up an average of 27.3 ppg since 2011
The Colts' defense allowed the 14th most points in the NFL last year they were exactly league average in yards per play given up, they were tied for the 10th most rushing TD's given up and they gave up the the 12th most passing TD's. They were also tied for the 9th fewest interceptions....how is that not describing a mediocre defense?
Amazing what a good QB can do for a team's outlook. Basically guaranteed quality team for 15 years or so.

BOB probably is on the hot seat, you know, the team's owner is famous for making sudden, rash, emotional decisions regarding the coaching staff.
