It's an awesome trade for sure speacily for what we gave up but how will Lawson's peformace be as a rocket. Let's take into consideration lawson pretty much ran Denver as the only play maker and was surrounded by sub par players and they still didn't make the playoffs with lawson at lead.

I'm wondering if Lawson's stats and performance will go down beside harden, who's going to have control of the offense?, will harden be calling the shots or should the PG lawson be leading the team

Regardless were going to be a better team im just wondering how a PG with great stats and a high assist count coexist with a very good SG who demands the ball a lot and also runs the offense a lot of times.

were still an upgraded team but I wonder if lawson will still be that 15 ppg 9 apg guy when he's not the vocal point of the offense.

Right but note his game is based on him having the ball in his hands.

His 3 point % will probably improve. His decline in 3 point shooting basically coincided with the decrease in talent on his Denver teams.

He should average a steady 15/6 at least over here. He will play plenty of time as the lead dog when Harden is resting.

only because he was forced into that position more so due the circumstances last year. Harden is more than capable of playing off someone like Lawson

    So is Hardens.

Guess what he did in OKC?

    Lower usage, higher efficiency.

The Nuggets won 57 games in 2012-2013 and Lawson averaged about 17 pts and 7 assists per game.

Harden and Lawson will take pressure off of each other. Lawson also thrives in an uptempo style like he played in 2012 with George Karl.

Lawson and Harden will thrive, and the role players will be set up for open shots constantly with both Harden and Lawson facilitating.

    The offense will be great.

Not for the full 48 minutes, defense collapsed on Harden and with no other playmaker on the court it was too much sometimes for Harden.

The point is to have more options, so that you're more prepared in any given situation. It doesn't matter what Lawson puts up, as long as our offense is better.

It should be better because they can both feed off of each other and take plays "off" rather than having to fight through fatigue late in games, especially Harden. Lawson will be in there plenty, when Harden sits, too.

Pretty similar to Parker and Ginobody. They both need(ed) the ball in their hands as creators. And note that SAS was a methodical, half-court team back in Ginobody's prime.

How many assists/pts in transition did Lawson get for DEN. I expect him to get more usage in transition because of our style of play.

As a starter, Lawson can just focus on getting his shot going first; When Harden sits, Lawson can take over scoring duties.

If Harden is struggling creating shots, he can focus on getting set up by a top flight PG.

All of this will be moot if the Rockets dont maximize their scoring potential with better coaching/ efficient set plays.

Unless a team has a really good defensive scheme with multiple players that can switch and defend multiple positions(GS), IMO the addition of Lawson has made it more difficult to trap or double-team Harden.

he can get into the lane literally at will and then approaching the basket he's one of the best at dishing off to a big in traffic -- so i expect him to rack up assists with howard/jones/dmo/capela all finishing point blank shots and harden/ariza getting kick outs.

on the other end, lawson is one of the worst at fighting around picks and contesting perimeter shots. it's how curry torched him in the playoffs a couple years ago. hopefully the coaches and teammates kick him in the ass to step up the intensity.

So glad to have a 'proper' playmaker and ballhandler to take some of the burden off of Harden. I don't care about Lawson's stats or production. I'm confident he will make Harden and the whole team better, that's all that matters.

Harden will be more efficient , work better on both ends , he may 'v time to date two kadashians

Capella , T.J and others will have more highlights & their # might improve drastically .
    However, the negative part:
We 'lol miss Dorsey's ft , Papa sloppy passes ,Nick air all, and Prig 's offence
