If we get Aldridge he needs to be the one getting all the blame if we don't win the championship. We got close this year without him. So if we get rid of everybody who helped us get there for him then he needs to deliver period.

 

Feel like jrue holiday would be a great fit here. Don't know if pelicans are willing to move him tho

The Pelicans just got the Sixers to pay them 3 million dollars for not disclosing Jrue's injury history fully.

He's missed time in both the past two seasons. There is smoke here that he's pretty much damaged goods if the Pelicans are getting that much on orders of the league and players union.

 

If Jrue is available I make him my number 1 target.

Now the Sixers are apparently seeking to get that money back from the Lakers regarding not disclosing information from the Bynum trade.

So if two years later, the Pelicans are going to war behind the scenes for damages this high, and the league found the Sixers to be somewhat guilty, then there must be a reason... and that reason must be that Jrue Holiday has chronic injury issues, and I'd be hella skeptical about trading for him.

Cleveland gets:
TJones (LeBron loves the guy)
Ariza (I have a lot of faith in Papanikalau)
2017 1st rd pick (Rockets)
2016 1st rd pick (Portland)
DMo (if thats what it takes)

Portland gets:
Kevin Love (if he does not want to go back to Cleveland)

A lot of unknowns about where guys want to play, but I think this trade works for everyone.

Giving up DMO, Ariza and Jones for Aldridge may end up benefiting the team or it may end up as a complete disaster as we continue to swap depth for homeruns. I'm not sure if I do it but that's why I'm not Maury.

 

LMA is 99.9% gone from Portland. You just need LMA to pick Houston as his top team, and then POR has no leverage in a S&T so you don't need to give up anything close to "market value", instead, you match salary and give them some pieces as a "thank you" so you can keep operating above the cap and resign some of our own FAs.
