The Rockets had their "Stuckey" last year and traded him to the 6ers.

Stuckey is good back up PG to Beverley.

Why can't we do an S&T? Prigs makes enough for this to work.

Stuckey played on a one-year vet minimum deal for the Pacers last year. They don't have the necessary level of Bird rights to execute a S&T that would pay him anything.

Definitely an interesting target, but doesn't seem very realistic, if only because our ability to sign him over the cap will be highly restricted due to our own free agent commitments.

Back-up plan if Llull turns down the MLE? I could see us trying to sign Stuckey with what's left of it after using a portion to sign Harrell to a longer term deal.

I've never been a huge fan of Stuckey, but to his credit he never needs to be set up. He can score all his points of the dribble, which is a skill in short supply.

This is untrue. If you watch film of him in Detroit he's definitely a relentless attacker. The footage speaks for itself.

Would definitely be more of a playmaker at PG than anything else we have on the roster... and also one of the best on the market.

He is a competent player and brings some attributes that the Rockets can use, but not much more than that. I suspect that this "interest" is more of the "he's on our radar, would be interested in offering him a cheap-ish contract if he doesn't get a high offer" variety.

I like that he's a big point guard, I've always liked big point guards and I'm still seething over letting Livingston go for Ish Smith and Scott Machado. Stuckey is likely using us as leverage but if he doesn't get a big deal and Bev bounces he would be nice to have

yup. might even be "if we dont get llull, lawson, lowry, etc..., etc... we would then offer him a vet min contract.

who knows how far down the list this guy is? if llull is plan A, and stuckey is plan Q, its fair to say morey has "interest." most likely it will never come to that though.

Looks to me like leverage from an agent standpoint but I doubt the Rockets care.

If all else fails then sure. They would surely welcome him on a vet min contract if they fail to trade for a top level pg, sign one, or bring over Llull.

If they do either of the above I doubt he's that realistic of a pickup.

Stuckey can create for himself a bit off the bench. Could take over the Terry role given Terry's age. Esp if he stays up in the high 30's from 3 like last year
