I'm so bummed man. Wife got me tickets for an early birthday present and they cancel this **** 3 hours before game time.
I'm sure they wanted to give the grounds crew as much time as possible to get it ready. Sucks they had to do it but I understand. City is just coming off a long season and the Dynamo in the middle of theirs. Would have been terrible to have someone get injured due to field conditions in a friendly.
It is sad that knowing the impact of the charity game, and with a game of this magnitude, the ground wasn't covered or taken much more seriously than waiting to try to bring it up to par. I was hoping that knowing that they had a couple events, and the rain, they would have taken much better care to prevent this. I see "extraordinary effort" and would like to think all possibilities were exhausted. It is understandable. You will still get to go for the rescheduled game. Keep those tickets. They're still good and you're doing this for charity. Were yo only interested in seeing the visiting team? Go to a regular season game. Support our Dynamo.
I support the Dynamo too, I watch their games and I was really looking forward to being in the new stadium and seeing the Dynamo as well. I'll be checking out a Dynamo game sometime, but don't know when I'll have another chance to see City
^ ¡Ay, yi yi! No es bueno. <img src="http://i.imgur.com/BkpHjQC.gif" width=200> Did you read the news about the exchange? http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2...mo-charities-cup-vs-manchester-city-cancelled
The tickets we bought were comp tickets that somebody was selling for charity, so I don't think they would have given us anything for those. The lady we bought them from was nice enough to give us our money back.

Kind of a bummer only to get a point last night. They played well in the first half while pushing the pace. Had many chances but just couldn't convert. The penalty was unfortunate but it was the correct call. Raul had his arm above his head and the ball hit it. They let off the gas in the 2nd half and were actually lucky to get away with the point. Deric made another Save of the Week candidate stop and were lucky for a NYCFC easy opportunity to go wide. Barnes is going to have a hard time making it through this season unscathed. He clearly has a target on his back. Hack-a-Giles is in full effect. I was a bit disappointed in him last night, though. He had some opportunities that he needed to do better with that could've scored or created goals. How crappy is that playing surface? You could see how slow the pace was once the ball was in the outfield grass as compared to the temporary infield grass. I get the draw for a 2nd team in NYC and even to have one play actually in the city but they need to get them a place to play quickly if they want it to be successful. It will get to a point that they won't continue to be able to draw the David Villa's of the world simply because of the field.

I'd expect all the reserves to play and we get knocked out early again. I wish they'd take it a little more seriously.

Starting the game off with both Davis and Boniek on the bench was pretty dumb imo. If you are gonna sit a midfielder, it needs to be Clark. Having Clark and Garrido in there with Alex being the only midfielder capable of any kind of possession is just a total disaster. There might actually be some offensive creation if Davis, Boniek, and Alex every played together
